Fighting AIDS in Minas:  Partner satisfaction

Stigma and discrimination against persons with disabilities make them more vulnerable to sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence (GBV).

To overcome the limitations of the response, these vulnerabilities have led Minas to be relentless in its commitment to the fight against AIDS, in order to strengthen the cross-cutting actions taken to promote social inclusion.

A meeting of the permanent working group responsible for coordinating and monitoring/evaluating the STI/HIV/AIDS programme in Minas was held on November 16 in the conference room of the MINAS.  The meeting took place in the context of the commemoration of the 36th World AIDS Day under the theme, “Let communities lead.”  This commemoration will be the culmination of the 8th edition of the Cameroon Month against AIDS.

The presentation by the focal point, NGUE BADJE Théodore, described the participation of Minas in this year’s event and the activities carried out on behalf of vulnerable persons.  This was a source of great satisfaction for the National AIDS Control Committee and its partners.
