2021: A new year of challenges

Pauline Irène Nguene, Minister of Social Affairs, reminded her main collaborators of the various challenges faced by the ministerial department, in order to implement the main commitments of the Government

as concerns these issues. This was during the first coordination meeting of the central services of MINAS on January 18.  It was an opportunity for the Head of Department to extend her best wishes of health, happiness, prosperity and success to her staff and their respective families. She also took the opportunity to express her satisfaction and encouragement for the dedication and professional commitment they have shown during the year 2020 despite the difficult times.

Despite the health crisis context, the budgetary allocation adjusted to the sum of CFA F 9,798 million allowed the efficient implementation of the main actions included in the three programmes.  In view of this positive balance sheet, the Minister expressed her satisfaction to the staff, main architect of these successes.

CFA F 10,549,000,000 is the budget allocated to the Ministry of Social Affairs to carry out the activities listed in the Annual Work Plan, in order to further implement the Head of State's policy of National Solidarity and Social Justice which guides government action throughout the current seven-year term. To this end, she called on her collaborators to be more efficient and creative. Mission letters have been sent to each head of structure for this exercise and the application should strictly comply with the deadlines set. The mission letters will be evaluated during the last coordination meeting of each month.

 

At the end of the meeting, the Secretary General, ITOH Béryl IKOMBE epse PANJE, on behalf of all the staff, presented a gift to the Minister and wished her the best for the New Year.
