This Program, known under the acronym “Program 557”, intends to guarantee Socially Vulnerable Persons (PSV) better protection against deficiencies, social maladjustment, social risks and scourges, in particular through the development of an appropriate strategic framework, the strengthening of awareness-raising and education actions, the establishment of strategies guaranteeing better protection of the elderly and persons with disabilities, improvement of the social protection system and promotion of the rights of PSVs.

Strategic focus
Based on the ministerial strategy, Program 557 intends, by 2020, to contribute to the quantitative and qualitative strengthening of the social protection mechanisms and actions of PSVs, taking into account emerging social phenomena and the specificities of each of the vulnerable targets. The strategic focus of the program is therefore prevention and social protection.

Major objective
The major objective of this program is to "Strengthen the social protection of Socially Vulnerable Persons", through the improvement of the living conditions of populations, by protecting their rights and educating the populations to the prevention of deficiencies and social maladjustment.

Indicator
The effective implementation of this program will be evaluated over time through the number of Socially Vulnerable Persons benefiting from protection measures in institutional, public and private settings.
