MINAS inaugurated the Yaounde 5 Social Center renovated by MTN Cameroon.

The inauguration  ceremony of the Social Center of Yaounde 5 took place on Thursday  October 19, 2023 under the chairmanship of the Minister of Social Affairs, Mrs Pauline Irene NGUENE.

The representatives of the Mayor of Yaounde 5 said this building will help  in the social insertion of vulnerable children of Yaounde 5. She saluted the works of the Ministry  of Social Affairs  that are in line with the Head of State's  policy of social assistance and social inclusion.

The Director General of MTN emphasized on the fact that the renovation of the Yaounde 5 social center falls within the framework of 21 days of yellow care which is an annual program. She used the occasion to thank all the partners who joined them on this project.

Minister Pauline Irene NGUENE in her inauguration  speech thanked MTN Cameroon  and all the social entrepreneurs  who contributed  to the realization  of this project within  the framework  of corporate social responsibility. She mentioned that the Ministry of Social Affairs is assigned  to fight  against social exclusion through  its mission of prevention, assistance and protection  of socially vulnerable persons. She higlighted  some of the functions of a social center and called on the population  and beneficiaries  of this project to make good use of the structure and equipment.

Minister  Pauline Irene NGUENE  after inaugurating the building, witnessed a demonstration on the use of ICT by visually  impaired persons in the ICT lab which are part of building and equipment  donated to the social center by MTN Cameroon.
