5 days activism to say « No to harmful practices affecting children. »

As part of activities to mark the celebration of the 2nd edition of the Cameroonian children's month and the 32nd edition of the Day of the African Child, the Ministry of Social Affairs yesterday June 6, 2022 launched a 5 days activism to say « No to harmful practices affecting children » in Cameroon under the theme "lets orange our country by putting an end to harmful practices affecting children".

No To Harmfull practises affecting Children

The launching ceremony was marked by a sensitization walk from the Caleb Nursery and Primary school in Nkolbisson to the Yaounde 7 Council by the pupils of Caleb Nursery and Primary School Nkolbisson and some personel of the Ministry of Social Affairs.  The walk was punctuated with songs and messages saying No to force labour, no to violence, no to early and forced marriages, no to war and no to any harmful practice affecting children. At arrival at the Yaounde 7 Council,  the Mayor of the Council, Mrs Yongolea Evouna received the children.

The children handed their sensitization messages to the Mayor who joined them to say No to harmful practices affecting children and reiterated that they will not tolerate any of such practice on a child. The awareness campaign will continue till June 10, 2022
